主题:提高化肥养分利用效率的途径

Professor Wei Zhou is the head of Innovation team in Plant Nutrition Research, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). Research interests mainly focus on nutrient cycling, nutrient management and fertilizer innovation. Dr. Zhou has authored or co-authored over 100 scientific papers, the achievement on research on plant nutrients sulfur and calcium was recognized by China government as the National Award in Science and Technology Progress. Dr. Zhou received his B.Sc. degree in Agronomy from Jiangxi Agricultural University in 1987, his MS degree in Soil Science from Jiangxi Agricultural University in 1990, and his PhD in Plant Nutrition in Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1995. During 2002 to 2003, Dr. Zhou worked at Rothamsted Research as a post-doctoral fellow. He is now the full time Professor at the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning, CAAS. Dr. Zhou is the chief scientist of National Key Basic Research Program (973) Program"mechanism and approaches for high efficient use of fertilizer nutrients". He is the national talent of "New Century Talents Project", and the leader of innovation teams of high efficient utilization of nutrient resources accredited by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. Dr. Zhou is now the vice president of Chinese Society of Plant Nutrition and Fertilizer Science, and the editorial board member of the Journal of Plant Nutrition and Fertilizer Science.
