Dir. & Prof. Dr. sc. agr. Silvia H. Haneklaus, born October 17, 1959 in Rheine, Germany; MSc in plant production, PhD in plant nutrition. Diploma of Excellency of the Romanian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Senior scientist at the Institute for Crop and Soil Science at the Federal Research Centre for Cultivated Plants (JKI), Secretary general of The International Scientific Center for Fertilizers (CIEC) in Shenyang, P.R. She has 25 years’ experience in research on sulphur nutrition and sulphur metabolism of crops and 20 years’ experience in geostatistics, crop yield mapping and development of soil sampling and fertilizer strategies. She has been published more than 450 papers, 185 peer-reviewed contributions and 95 publications with journal impact factor; 15 book chapters in the field of plant nutrition, precision agriculture and phytoremediation. More than 100 papers published on various aspects of plant sulfur metabolism in international scientific journal and books.
